Jepsies rejoice: Carly Rae Jepsen has announced her eighth studio album, Day and Night, which arrives Sept. 18 via Interscope Records and is available for pre-order.

Day and Night will be a double album clocking in at 24 tracks, with each LP comprising 12 songs. The musician worked on the double LP with collaborators and friends, including Tavish Crowe, Kyle Shearer, Nate Cyphert, and Cole M.G.N., whom she married last year. Per a press release, each album has a distinct sonic palette, with Day described as being “organic and raw, with live instrumentation and hints of Seventies-inspired psychedelic pop,” while Night “is exploratory and intense, shifting into a sleek, synth-driven world of dance pop.” Lead single “On Wires” will arrive this Friday, June 26.

Jepsen began dropping hints of a new album earlier this month. Keeping with the Day and Night theme, her official website played snippets of two different instrumentals (for 12 hours each) on June 1. Later, she began posting postcard-like images twice a day to her social media accounts on June 11, captioned by a lyric, location, and timestamp.

Jepsen has teased the recording of her eighth album for a few years now. She’s intermittently posted photos in the studio with producers like Danny L Harle, Buillion, Magdalena Bay, Casey MQ, longtime collaborator Kyle Shearer, and more since 2023. Beyond music, she’s also had a busy personal life: In 2025, she married Cole M.G.N., who she met three years prior during a studio session. She gave birth to their first child in March 2026.
