Indiana Energy Impact Program awards first solar grants

We’re announcing the first grant recipients of our $10 million Indiana Energy Impact Program, which will bring rooftop solar to key Morgan County public institutions.

The Monroe-Gregg School District and the Morgan County Public Library will receive solar panel installations that will significantly lower operational overhead. The school district anticipates $2.9 million in total savings over 30 years, while the library projects cutting over $200,000 in utility costs across 25 years. These savings will allow both organizations to redirect critical funds back into local students, services, and community programs.

We’re also committing $3 million to the statewide Indiana Energy Saver Program. This allocation will fund repairs for pre-existing property issues — such as damaged roofs or outdated electrical wiring — allowing homes and facilities in low-income areas to qualify for essential energy retrofits.

By prioritizing local affordability and clean energy infrastructure, we’re ensuring our data center footprint delivers lasting benefits across Indiana.
